ELLIJAY BACON FEST RULES & REGULATIONS
EVENT DATE: Sunday, September 28, 2025
LOCATION: Ellijay, Ga. Gilmer Recreation & Parks River Park (1561 South Main Street)
SET UP TIME: You may set up on Sat Sep 27th from 6pm – 8pm. There will be no overnight security. Ellijay Bacon Fest & Gilmer Parks/Rec are not responsible for any loss or damage to your property/products. Or you can set up beginning at 7:30 am Sun Sep 28th.
EVENT TIME: Begins at 10:00 am. Ends at 5:00 pm
BREAK DOWN: Please do not break down before 5:00 pm. (Even if you run out of products to sell). All vendors must STOP selling by 5:30 pm. We must be broken down and cleaned up and out before dark!
DONATIONS: We are raising money for the Gilmer Food Pantry. You will receive a donation. envelope on Sunday morning. We will have one of our volunteers stop by your booth and collect your donation that afternoon. We are a 501c3 so your donation is tax deductible. Thank you in advance!
This is a rain or shine event!
FOOD VENDOR BOOTH SPACE
- Open flame will be allowed but all food vendors MUST have a fire extinguisher.
- No glass will be allowed.
- Generators are allowed (no electricity will be available).
- Tents must be secured without damaging the grass.
- You must offer at least ONE bacon related dish/product.
- Only one of each menu item will be allowed at the Bacon Fest. (i.e. only one vendor can offer a bacon cheeseburger). First Applicant to submit will reserve that menu item. However, variations WILL be allowed. So, a hamburger with Bacon Aoli or a hamburger with bacon wrapped onion rings on it would be allowed and not considered “the same”! When submitting your menu items on this application, please be SPECIFIC!
- All non-Gilmer County food trucks, push-carts, booths, tents must send a copy of their mobile unit/food/health permit from whichever county your business is located. Please send a copy along with your application form.
- NO dumping of grease or coals will be allowed at the park.
- Each vendor is responsible for their own trash. You must supply your own garbage receptacle (s) for the customers and you are responsible for hauling off your own trash.
FOOD AWARDS/COMPETITION – CONSUMERS VOTE
-The Ellijay Bacon Fest will hold a contest for the Best Bacon Dish (Overall), Best Presentation and Most Creative Bacon Dish. Customers will be given ballots and they will be counted and tallied at 4pm. Winners will be announced and trophies given before the close of the event!
Booth / Tent – cost is $125. Need more space? 2nd space available for $50. Please bring your own booth/tent.
Foot Trucks – your space will be 16′ x 16′ for $125. $50 for additional space if needed.
